We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Bridge Asset Manager.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to play a key role in the management of our bridge assets across the Falkirk area.

The postholder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and high-quality service for the management and maintenance of over bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and footbridges within the Falkirk Council boundary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out feasibility, design, contract preparation, and site supervision of bridge and structures schemes
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work to the Capital and Revenue budgets
  • Check building standards submissions from a structural perspective

Requirements:

  • HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent discipline)
  • Member of a relevant institution (IEng or above)
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
  • Excellent organisational and presentation skills
  • Experience of current health and safety regulations
  • IT literate
  • Good interpersonal and report writing skills
