About this SEN Teacher Role

GSL Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive learning environment dedicated to supporting students with diverse needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique requirements of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff and support team to develop and implement IEPs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to support student development.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with SEN.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when necessary.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
