Job summary:

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to advance their career and develop leadership and clinical skills within Clinical Trials services at Transformation Unit. The successful candidate will need to be flexible, organised, and have a 'can do' positive attitude.

Main responsibilities:
  • Assist the Principal Pharmacist in managing all operational aspects of clinical trials pharmacy on a day-to-day basis.
  • Provide support to pharmacy technicians, practitioners, assistants, students, and trainees.
  • Undertake feasibility assessments and set up of new trials, including subsequent reviews and assessments.
  • Prepare trial-specific procedures and prescriptions.
  • Provide clinical supervision and professional leadership to pharmacy staff in Clinical Trials Pharmacy and CRF.
  • Ensure research activities are conducted according to Health and Safety regulations and COSHH.
Requirements:
  • Degree in pharmacy (BSc (Hons), BPharm, MPharm, or equivalent)
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain (GPhC)
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
  • Mandatory CPD
  • MSc in Pharmacy Practice
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)
Key skills:
  • Clinical pharmacy skills at Diploma level
  • Clinical Pharmacy skills at MSc level
  • Experience of using an electronic prescribing system
  • Ability to deal with and analyse complex data for decision-making
