Cardiology Clinical Research Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Cardiology Research Team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical research studies in cardiology.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Principal Investigators and specialist cardiology research nurses in setting up and managing Phase II to Phase IV studies. The role will involve working closely with the research team to ensure the smooth delivery of clinical trials, from study set-up to data collection and reporting.
Main Responsibilities- Supporting the planning and implementation of clinical trials in cardiology
- Coordinating research activities, including patient recruitment, data collection, and data entry
- Collaborating with research nurses and other team members to ensure effective study delivery
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of research governance policies and regulations
- Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders
- Degree in Life Sciences or related field
- Recent GCP training or qualification in research/clinical trials
- Experience working in a clinical trial setting or as a research nurse
- Excellent IT skills, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
We offer a competitive salary of £35,964 - £43,780 per annum, plus benefits, including a generous pension scheme, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional development.
This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year, funded by the Heart Failure and CRN programs. The role is based at St George's Hospital in Tooting, London, and involves working closely with the Cardiology Research Department and other teams across the trust.
