Senior Lecturer in English

The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer in English to join our team. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the academic and professional environment, providing leadership in the curriculum area and guiding and mentoring colleagues to ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Head of Academics or the Dean in leading initiatives for curriculum development and improvement.
Take a lead role in the development, management, and review of academic programmes within the curriculum area.
Assess and oversee the work of colleagues, offering guidance to enhance the quality of provision.
Research and Professional Development
Engage in advanced research activities, contributing to the academic profile of ESL and staying at the forefront of developments in the field.
Actively participate in university/ESL research programs, fostering a culture of research and innovation.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
Play a pivotal role in the continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards, implementing, and monitoring the self-assessment process.
Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies.
Requirements
4 years' experience in teaching at HE level in the UK (Senior Lecturer).
~ Master's degree in a relevant subject area (Min requirement for Lecturer).
~ Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at the Higher Education level.
~ PhD in relevant a field (Senior Lecturer only).
~ Native speaker of English or, if not, have current IELTS 7.5 Academic Certification.
~ Demonstrable ability to prepare and oversee implementation of programme development plans and assess colleagues' work.
~ The ability to communicate with senior education professionals.
~ Possess a teaching qualification such as FHEA or PGCHE, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
