Responsibilities
  • Achieve a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Evaluate the Company's compliance with statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  • Carry out regular reviews of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
  • Document, investigate and implement improvements for all accidents.
  • Manage safety inspections, fire drills and fire alarms, and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
  • Maintain full and accurate health and safety training records.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive health & safety inspections, audits and checks.
  • Implement a structured programme of health & safety training throughout the Company.
  • Liaise with external health & safety consultants to provide training programmes and services.
  • Chair and formulate minutes for Health & Safety Committee meetings.
  • Communicate relevant changes in health, safety & welfare at work legislation to the business.
  • Provide regular reports to the Human Resources Manager, Board of Directors/Senior Management Team on relevant health and safety activities.
