About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Midwife to join our Home Birth Team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, woman-centred care to women choosing to give birth at home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver holistic, patient-centred care to women in the community, promoting normality and reducing unnecessary interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide seamless care to women with low and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with women, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care pathways and protocols to improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students, promoting best practice and evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Registered Midwife with a valid NMC pin.
  • Completed preceptorship and mentorship/SSSA training.
  • Competences in perineal suturing, IV drug administration, and cannulation.
  • Current mandatory CPD and experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Attended CTG masterclass and NIPE training.
  • Valid driving licence.
