Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistant to join our partner school's brilliant team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they have access to a meaningful and inclusive education. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and committed to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop highly tailored lesson plans for students with SEND, adapting learning materials and resources to meet their diverse needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, enhancing their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Support students in developing independence, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents/guardians.
  • Promote inclusion and engagement, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive support network for students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting students' needs.
Estimated Salary:

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum
