About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nurse to join our team as a School Immunisation Vaccinator. As a key member of our vaccination team, you will be responsible for delivering an effective and evidence-based immunisation service to school-aged children. This will involve working closely with our programme managers, team leads, and clinical lead to ensure the smooth delivery of our services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an effective and evidence-based immunisation service to school-aged children.
  • Work collaboratively with our programme managers, team leads, and clinical lead to ensure the smooth delivery of our services.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and the performance and development of staff.
  • Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are reported, monitored, and processed in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in audits, making recommendations based on findings and sharing outcomes with the team for learning.

Requirements:

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Working within PGD frameworks.
  • Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
  • Ability to understand and implement the principles of informed consent.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience with cold chain, ordering, and arranging transport.

Qualifications:

  • Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification.
