Job Overview

The IT Support Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. As the initial point of contact for user IT issues, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer the telephone system in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Log all helpdesk emails in a timely manner.
  • Act as the first point of contact for resolving user IT issues.
  • Record all activities related to customer IT issues in the helpdesk system.
  • Update all helpdesk tickets daily, even if there has been no communication with the customer.
  • Evaluate and escalate IT issues, working closely with Project Engineers to resolve complex issues.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of PC/Laptop hardware and software.
  • Strong fault-finding skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft desktop operating systems and productivity suite.
  • Knowledge of server operating systems.
  • Understanding of Active Directory.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 setup.
  • Basic networking knowledge.

Desirable Skills:

  • VMWare.
  • Microsoft Azure.
  • Acronis suite of software.
  • Adobe.
  • AV Software.
  • Sage.
  • 365 Fundamentals and/or Azure fundamentals.
