School Support Assistant Job Description

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Support Assistant to work with children aged 4-16 years with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a School Support Assistant, you will work closely with qualified teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies that promote student engagement and behavior.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  1. Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, Autism, and ADHD.
  2. Assist with classroom management and implement strategies to support student engagement and behavior.
  3. Support students with personal care and daily activities as required.
  4. Adapt learning materials and resources to meet individual needs.
  5. Foster a positive and encouraging environment to build students' confidence and independence.
  6. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  8. Maintain accurate records of student progress and report any concerns to the teacher or SENCO.
Salary Information
