Assistant Head Sommelier

The Royal Automobile Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Head Sommelier to join our team in the Great Gallery restaurant. As a key member of our sommelier team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our members and guests
  • Providing exceptional wine service and advice to our members and guests
  • Supporting the Head Sommelier in the day-to-day running of the restaurant
  • Leading and managing the sommelier team and running a station in the Great Gallery when necessary
  • Advising members on wine lists and making recommendations

Requirements:

  • Fine dining experience leading a team of sommeliers
  • WSET level 2/3 or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of world wines and beverages
  • Awareness of licensing laws
