About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sommelier to join our team at South Place Hotel. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, providing expert wine knowledge and recommendations, and working closely with the restaurant team to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of wine, including wine regions, grape varieties, and wine pairing techniques
  • Recommend wine pairings to guests, taking into account their preferences and dietary requirements
  • Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure a smooth and efficient service
  • Assist with wine list management, including ordering, inventory, and maintenance
  • Participate in wine tastings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with the latest wine trends and developments
