About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mail Carrier and Driver to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a Postman and Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver mail and packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Operate a vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  3. Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  4. Work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
  5. Develop and maintain knowledge of the local area, including streets, buildings, and customer locations.
  6. Report any issues or concerns to management, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Valid UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  2. Ability to walk for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
  3. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanners.
  6. Knowledge of the local area and ability to develop and maintain this knowledge.
