About the Role
We are seeking a skilled MGV driver to join our team at Royal Mail. As a member of our driving team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive an MGV vehicle to collect and deliver mail and parcels from various locations, including post offices and delivery offices.
- Load and unload mail and parcels from the vehicle, ensuring that they are secure and properly distributed.
- Sort mail and parcels into correct onward distribution, following Royal Mail's procedures and guidelines.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
About You
We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You should have a strong sense of customer service and be able to work well in a team. A full UK manual driving licence and less than 6 penalty points are essential for this role.
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence with less than 6 penalty points.
- Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (CPC) and a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
