Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with students who have special educational needs. As a teaching assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the educational development and personal growth of our students.

About the Role:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN
  • Assist in implementing personalised learning strategies and interventions
  • Help create a safe and engaging learning environment that supports both academic and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other staff to support each student's unique needs
  • Encourage student independence and confidence through structured activities and guidance
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 or small group setting
  • A patient, compassionate and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff
  • The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations
  • Relevant qualifications such as a level 2 or 3 teaching assistant certificate is desirable but not essential
