University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our leadership team as Director of Governance and Assurance. This pivotal role will have strategic leadership responsibility for corporate and clinical governance, risk management, and assurance portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements and drive improvements in clinical governance
- Foster a culture of quality and safety within the Trust
- Lead the development and implementation of quality and safety frameworks
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive and Chief Nursing Officer to achieve strategic objectives
- Manage the interface between management and governance arrangements of the Trust
Requirements:
- Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate level ability and experience
- Appropriate professional and leadership qualification
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development, including leadership development
- Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Allied Health Professional with a current registration of relevant professional body
- Post management/leadership qualification or willingness to undertake a postgraduate certificate in management/leadership in an infection control setting
- QSIR (or equivalent)
- Coaching qualification (or equivalent)
Personal Qualities:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, innovative, and flexible
- Able to deal with and resolve conflict
- Able to adapt to the needs of a diverse and changing healthcare landscape
