About the Role
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the pivotal role of Director of Governance and Assurance. This newly created position will have strategic leadership responsibility for both corporate and clinical governance, risk management, and assurance portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements and drive improvements in clinical governance.
- Foster a culture of quality and safety within the Trust.
- Work closely with the Chief Executive and Chief Nursing Officer to achieve strategic objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality and safety frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure rigorous compliance and accountability.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate level ability and experience.
- Appropriate professional and leadership qualification.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development, including leadership development.
- Project management qualification or relevant experience.
- Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Allied Health Professional with a current registration of relevant professional body.
