About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Children’s Hospice Nurse to join our team at Leaders In Care Recruitment Ltd, working with a leading children's hospice in North London. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated nurse to make a real difference in the lives of seriously unwell children and their families.



Salary: The annual salary range for this position is £34,029 - £41,360 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a generous joining bonus of £5,000 spread over three years, with £500 paid upon appointment.



Job Overview



This role offers the chance to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including the hospice, children’s homes, or community environments. You will work closely with families to ensure safety and plan care accordingly. As an advocate for children and their families, you will be responsible for promoting effective communication, maintaining professional documentation, and administering medications while ensuring fun and compassion are integral to the care provided.



Responsibilities




  • Provide exceptional patient care in the hospice, children’s homes, or community settings
  • Collaborate with families to plan and review care, ensuring safety
  • Act as an advocate for children and their families
  • Promote effective communication and maintain professional documentation
  • Administer medications and maintain nutritional status
  • Participate in governance activities and deliver training


Requirements



To be successful in this role, you should have registration as a Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch), relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level, and experience in nursing children with life-limiting conditions. Excellent clinical and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, are essential.
