About the Role

Handle Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Producer to join their team. As an Event Producer, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of exceptional online and in-person events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market and industry research to develop strong topical and commercially successful event agendas.
  • Event Concept Development: Investigate and generate new and creative topic and format ideas in alignment with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong engaging relationships with key stakeholders, shareholders, advisors, associations, and senior government representatives.
  • Event Strategy: Work with the Group Director/CEO to produce a strong strategy for future direction of the events.
  • Content Creation: Keep the news feed regularly updated with content on the Beyond Privilege platform.
  • Client Management: Manage long-term supporters as well as connect with and build relationships with new clients, speakers, and media partners.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to help produce promotional materials for the event programs.
  • Sponsorship and Sales: Work with and direct the sponsorship team and delegate sales team to ensure commercial targets are met.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience producing high-quality conferences with demonstrable success in growing both the delegate and sponsorship revenue through the production of commercial programs.
  • Creativity: Enthusiastic and confident with a creative and imaginative approach to production.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think outside of the traditional conference realm to produce exciting events that appeal to the youth and clients alike.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability for strategic thinking and forward planning.
  • Adaptability: Resilient, motivated, and a starter/finisher, with excellent project management and delivery skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communicator with great verbal and written communication skills that can translate into trusting long-term client relationships.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel for events when needed.
  • Language: French speaking is desirable but not essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: An interest in Africa's energy and infrastructure sector and youth employment, and a strong willingness to learn.
