About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Acute Medical team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, investigating, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with undifferentiated healthcare problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake thorough patient histories and conduct clinical examinations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Prescribe treatments safely and effectively in line with national and local guidance and formularies.
  • Prepare accurate and concise reports to inform patient care and contribute to the development of the team.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and education to nursing staff, colleagues, and the wider medical team.
  • Support junior clinicians to plan and manage episodes of patient care.
  • Act as a role model for junior clinicians and contribute to the development of the team.

Requirements

  • 1st Level Registered Professional or equivalent.
  • Appropriate undergraduate degree.
  • Master degree in Advanced Practice.
  • Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.
  • Extensive post-registration experience (normally 5 years).
  • Experience working as an ANP in Acute Medicine.
