Commercial Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial / Construction Manager to join our team at Mace. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial aspects of construction projects, including contractual terms and conditions, supplier and subcontractor administration, and change management.
- Oversee the assessment of EWN's and compensation events, and manage the change management process to ensure that changes are assessed and risks are mitigated.
- Produce a monthly consolidated cost and expenditure report for the project, and review potential contractor and supplier claims, adjudicating claims and making recommendations for settlement.
- Oversee the finalisation of contractor's accounts and close out contracts for the project, and ensure that all instructions issued by the project manager are reviewed for cost implications.
- Provide commercial input to tender documentation as necessary, and oversee the payment of contractors.
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly experienced Commercial / Construction Manager with a strong background in commercial management and a proven track record of delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will have a formal qualification in a relevant field, such as RICS, and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial management principles and practices.
