Mental Health Specialist Role

MSF UK is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing mental health care in health facilities and in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall mental health programme and the local team
  • Provide mental health care in health facilities and in the community
  • Develop and implement culturally appropriate psycho-social interventions
  • Organise group therapeutic and psycho-educational activities
  • Ensure the implementation of MSF standard mental health protocols and procedures

Requirements

  • Formal education and Master's degree in clinical psychology, counselling psychology, or clinical social work
  • Currently licensed to practice with independent licensed clinical practice
  • Significant post-qualification, diversified professional clinical experiences
  • Fluency in English and ideally second language
  • IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

MSF UK accepts applications from qualified and registered counsellors and psychotherapists if they hold a clinical psychology Master's degree and have professional accreditations.

Information for Psychiatrists

Medical degree with psychiatry degree, registered or resident in psychiatry with six semesters validated in psychiatry.
