Nutrition Support Specialist Nurse Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Nutrition Support Specialist Nursing team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will contribute to providing high-quality and knowledgeable specialist nursing services for adult patients requiring nutrition support. This will involve working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Nutrition Support Team to provide complex clinical nutrition support across the Trust.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and maintain specialist knowledge related to nutrition support and intestinal failure, underpinned by theory and evidence-based practice.
- Contribute to the day-to-day clinical care of patients receiving nutrition support, providing expert care, advice, and support to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively across professional and organisational boundaries to support this group of patients.
- Establish effective communication with patients, carers, and families, and other healthcare professionals, to support and maintain therapeutic relationships.
- Contribute to the development of services and quality improvement initiatives.
- Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal framework for nursing.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
