Ophthalmic Specialist Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Oxford. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our ophthalmology services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care, including eye emergency care, pre-operative assessment, and nurse-led outpatient clinical activity.
- Lead and support junior staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Work collaboratively with the Ophthalmic Multidisciplinary Team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, driving innovation and best practice in ophthalmology care.
Our Ophthalmology department is a dynamic and supportive team, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and staff development. We offer a range of specialist nurse roles, including the Level Post-Graduate Certificate in Advanced Patient Centred Ophthalmology Care, in collaboration with Northampton University.
We are a busy outpatient department, treating over 100,000 patients a year, and we are proud of our reputation for excellence in ophthalmology care. Our team is made up of over 50 members of staff, including specialist nurses, nursing assistants, and ECLOs.
