Laboratory Technician (Materials)

Tarmac Trading Limited is looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician (Materials) to join our Readymix Technical Team.

The Laboratory Technician (Materials) will work on the testing of Readymix and developing products, both in the laboratory and on-site. You will be required to obtain samples from various locations, which is an essential aspect of the job.

About the Role:

  • The Laboratory Technician (Materials) will work closely with the Technical Manager for site testing, checking results, carrying out preliminary investigations into complaints, and providing technical information to clients
  • The role requires organising and undertaking technical testing to ensure test regimes and workload are met, comply with Company systems and resolve quality issues

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand civil engineering materials, materials testing, and site construction operations
  • Sampling & Testing: Carry out sampling and testing in line with contract requirements utilising in-house company Schedule and external 3rd party accredited test houses where required

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
