We are partnering with a Local Authority in Sefton to support the appointment of a Service Manager on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and expertise to design and deliver large-scale transformation programmes, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with the Medium-Term Financial Plan (MTFP).
- Lead the Children's Services Transformation and Service Development function, managing a team of project managers and working closely with Senior Responsible Officers and operational leads.
- Develop and implement programme governance, ensuring effective management of programmes and projects, including risk management, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define programme objectives, identify benefits, and develop project plans, ensuring coordination between projects and alignment with budget setting processes.
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Programme Management or substantial relevant experience in Children's Services or Social Care.
- Prince 2 or equivalent Project or Programme Management qualification.
- Proven experience in successful programme or project management in a similar environment.
Please note:
- You should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the UK.
- This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
