About the Role

Avery Healthcare is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to support the processing of payrolls for approximately 9,000 employees across our care home sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK payroll legislation.
  • Review payroll reports and communicate any changes or corrections needed in a timely manner.
  • Handle employee, HMRC, and third-party payroll queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, including HMRC and National Minimum Wage.
  • Produce required payroll-related reports for operations and executive teams as needed.
  • Provide information and assistance to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Reconcile finance system balance sheets through journal postings and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.
  • Experience in processing payroll within the care industry or a multi-site operation is highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
