Our client, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking an organised Payroll Administrator with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Payroll Manager in preparing and processing accurate monthly and biweekly payrolls for salaried staff and high-volume seasonal employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and administer monthly and biweekly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Undertake monthly reconciliations to ensure payroll data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure all statutory reporting is completed within legislated deadlines, maintaining a high level of compliance.
  • Liaise with departments to ensure time sheets are correctly completed, authorised, and received in line with payroll deadlines.
  • Maintain and update all spreadsheets accurately, ensuring data integrity.
  • Calculate data as required, including SSP/SMP, to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Administer Group Pension and Auto Enrolment Scheme, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Comply with Inland Revenue rules and regulations in respect of payroll, maintaining a high level of compliance.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of payroll systems, including experience with payroll software.
  • Some knowledge of Auto Enrolment, pension schemes, and current legislation, ensuring compliance.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic environment, with a high level of autonomy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Previous payroll experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes.
