Security Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at W Edinburgh. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect potential security threats
- Assist guests with room access and respond to emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and fire life safety systems to ensure the security and safety of the property
- Conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Respond to accidents, contact emergency services as needed, and administer first aid/CPR if required
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and provide support and guidance as needed
- Notify relevant personnel in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents
- Defuse guest and employee disturbances in a professional and respectful manner
- Complete incident reports to document all security-related incidents
- Escort unwelcome individuals from the property without disrupting the normal operation of the property
- Complete a daily activity report summarizing security incidents and activities
- Maintain confidentiality of all security and property reports/documents
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence, including interviews with relevant parties
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and employees, responding to their needs in a professional and timely manner
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer who possesses the following skills and qualifications:
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to emergency situations effectively
- Ability to inspire confidence in others and provide leadership and guidance as needed
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills to manage multiple security incidents and tasks simultaneously
- Sophisticated communication skills to effectively interact with guests, employees, and law enforcement agencies
- Previous experience working in luxury hotels or high-security environments
- Positive attitude and genuine passion for working in hospitality
