About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sports and Education Support Specialist. You will work closely with our experienced staff to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, focusing on academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work 1:1 or in small groups with students who require additional support, using sports and activities to promote engagement and motivation.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and carers, keeping them informed of progress and any challenges.
  3. Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalized learning plans (PLPs), incorporating relevant goals and objectives.
  4. Communicate effectively with colleagues and external agencies, sharing knowledge and best practice.
Person Specification
  • At least 6 months' experience working with children with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge of special education practices and strategies, with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with challenging behaviours.
Package Details

Estimated salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and opportunities for professional development.
