Job Description

We seek a seasoned professional to serve as a Community Housing Navigator. This critical role involves coordinating housing resources and tools to guarantee that consumers find suitable housing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with realtors, landlords, and other key stakeholders to identify suitable housing options for MFP clients, ensuring they have at least 3 viable choices.
  • Work with realtors and landlords within designated geographic areas to facilitate client placement.
  • Support clients in arranging transportation to view units and/or provide them with visual representations of available units.
  • Prepare and submit necessary paperwork, including applications for the Department's Rental Assistance Program (RAP) and Security Deposit Guarantee Program.
  • Conduct site visits to assess the suitability of rental units.
  • Orient clients on their roles and responsibilities regarding applicable subsidies.
  • Provide continuous support to clients post-transition, addressing concerns related to rental payments, landlord relationships, and local housing authorities.
  • Participate in company and state meetings as needed.
  • Tackle additional projects or tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in housing service coordination for the aging and persons with disabilities.
  • Background in real estate market and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with Independent Living principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced work environment.
Compensation Package

This position offers an estimated annual salary range of $58,000 - 72,000, contingent upon qualifications and experience.
