Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Rental Assistance Program Manager to oversee the coordination of housing tools, resources, and inventories. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that consumers secure safe and suitable housing.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with realtors, landlords, and other key stakeholders to identify potential housing units, ensuring MFP clients have access to at least 3 viable options.
  2. Coordinate efforts with realtors and landlords within designated geographic areas.
  3. Facilitate client transportation to view units and/or provide visual representations of available units for selection.
  4. Prepare and submit necessary housing paperwork, including applications for the Department's Rental Assistance Program (RAP) and Security Deposit Guarantee Program.
  5. Determine the need for modifications to rental units identified by contractors.
  6. Secure landlord approval for accessibility modifications to ensure housing safety and accessibility for clients.
  7. Educate clients on their roles and responsibilities related to applicable subsidies.
  8. Offer ongoing support to clients post-transition, addressing concerns regarding rental payments, landlord relationships, and local housing authorities.
  9. Attend company and state meetings as required.
  10. Pursue additional projects or assignments as directed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in housing service coordination for the aging and persons with disabilities.
  • Experience in real estate market and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of Independent Living philosophy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Salary

This role offers an estimated annual salary of $60,000 - 75,000, contingent upon qualifications and experience.
