We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented junior field service engineer to join our dynamic team at Stern Energy. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will assist in installation support, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, repair system issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Stern Energy operates ground-mounted photovoltaic systems for over 400MW in the UK, with 6GW under management. We specialize in proposing and executing revamping and repowering projects to enhance the performance of the assets we operate.

Our professional commitment is to translate the expertise gained into maximum plant efficiency and maintenance of long-term performance. We provide an integrated, timely, and effective service based on a "Total Quality" approach, of experience, know-how, and nationwide services.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Visual inspection activities, cleaning, and reporting to the management team;
  2. Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence and gates, inverter and transformer stations (excluding equipment);
  3. Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data logger, routers, sensors, etc.);
  4. Routine maintenance activities on security system devices (cameras, barriers, etc.);
  5. Execute corrective measures as a first response to help identify issues on the PV systems;
  6. Engage and manage subcontractors;
  7. Perform reactive and corrective maintenance activities, from time to time to manage subcontractors and control the quality of activities performed;
  8. Execute preventative and corrective activities of electrical systems, under supervision;
  9. Support with the installation of PV modules, wiring, and inverters.

Requirements

  1. Electrical experience, 2 years preferred;
  2. Basic understanding of electrical systems;
  3. Experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems for industrial sites;
  4. Good knowledge of MS Office tools;
  5. Valid driving license;
  6. CSCS card holder;
  7. NVQ level 1 or 2 preferred but not essential.
