Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at First Recruitment Group, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards are consistently met across all project activities.

About the Role:

This role is pivotal in ensuring that quality standards are met consistently across all project activities. The successful candidate will review and endorse Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, conduct compliance verification activities, and perform quality audits of site activities and subcontractor operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Planning and Verification:
    • Review and endorse Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
    • Conduct compliance verification activities as required.
  • Quality Support Processes:
    • Implement processes to provide timely and appropriate quality support to various project departments.
  • Quality Audits:
    • Conduct quality audits of site activities and subcontractor operations both onsite and offsite.
    • Follow the Project Audit Schedule to ensure thorough and regular audits.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure that quality standards are consistently met.
    • Raise authorized project documentation when standards are not adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Industry Experience:
    • Experience working in a QA or QC function within the nuclear sector, with progression into QA through lead audit experience and CQI membership.
  • Subcontractor Oversight:
    • Proven experience in overseeing subcontractors and managing lifetime records.
  • Quality Management Systems:
    • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
    • Familiarity with relevant industry-specific quality management requirements.
  • Progress Reporting:
    • Experience in maintaining package status and progress reporting.
    • Ability to identify and raise issues, liaising with the project and client QA/QC teams.
Salary and Benefits:

$75,000 - $95,000 per annum, depending on experience.
