Nurse Specialist in Intensive Care

Becoming a part of our team as a Nurse Specialist in Intensive Care will provide you with the chance to deliver exceptional care and support to critically ill patients. This critical role requires you to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
About the Job
We're seeking an experienced nurse who has previously worked in an ICU or CCU setting, ideally with a background in a large health board like ourselves. You'll be responsible for assessing patients' needs and developing personalized care plans, often collaborating with other teams such as medicine, surgery and anaesthetics.
Essential Skills
- An active registered nurse (band 5) with a minimum of two years' experience in ICU/CCU
- Expert knowledge of I.V. drug administration, central lines, arterial lines, endotracheal tubes and ventilators
- Willingness to work flexibly within shift patterns (7 days, nights and weekends)
