Strategic Office Manager for EMEA EBD Operations

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Office Manager to join our EMEA EBD team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of EBD operations in EMEA, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operation of the EMEA EBD unit, working closely with the Head of EMEA EBD and corporate global management.
  • Provide strategic analysis of markets, innovation trends, and startups companies.
  • Assess business ecosystems and competitive dynamics in energy, mobility, and industrial sectors.
  • Explore and analyze markets and trends in the target sectors and identify venture opportunities.
  • Scout databases, reports, and attend conferences/meetings to identify interesting startups and corporate partners.
  • Track and analyze startups and corporate partners' strengths, weaknesses, assets, finance capacities, and business models.
  • Prepare regular update reports and other communications materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc presentations and be a key contact partner and contributor to Hitachi's Corporate Venture Office (CVO).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's in an area such as Finance, Business Administration, Sustainability Strategy, Technology & Information Management, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of professional experience, either or both in strategy and/or management support. Experience with startups is a plus.
  • Ability to support unit operation with impeccable inter-personal and reporting skills.
  • Versed in strategic analysis and taste for startup and corporate venture environment.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and inquisitive.
  • Extremely organized, inclination for structure, and strong time-management skills.
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand big picture and to break-down into smaller operational pieces.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Confident and credible communication skills: ability to foster collaboration across the unit and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability and taste to synthesize large amounts of information into clear and crisp messages, presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English, a second European language is a plus.
