The Youth Work Practice Manager - Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of youth workers in delivering preventative programmes to vulnerable and at-risk individuals and groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3 district youth work teams in delivering high-quality youth work services.
  • Develop and implement effective performance management strategies to drive continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to ensure the delivery of targeted prevention and early intervention work.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver effective youth work services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth work services and make recommendations for improvement.

About the Team

The Youth Services team is responsible for delivering a range of youth work services to young people in Hertfordshire, including information, advice, and careers guidance, work-related learning, and work experience.

About the Service

The Youth Services team is a key contributor to the prevention and early intervention agenda, working to support young people to make a successful transition to an economically independent adult life.

Requirements

  • Nationally recognised JNC qualification for Youth and Community Workers.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle on a regular basis.
  • Proven experience of line management and performance management.
  • Ability to use full range of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Organisation and effective time management skills with proven ability to meet targets.
  • Proven ability to quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups of people.
