Head of Engineering Safety

Job Summary:
BAE Systems Careers is seeking a highly experienced Head of Engineering Safety to join our team. As a key member of our safety engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of safety-critical systems for our products.
About the role:
The Principal Engineer Product Safety will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with our products. You will develop and maintain safety policies and procedures, conduct hazard analyses and risk assessments, and collaborate with design teams to integrate safety features into products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the development and implementation of safety-critical systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Developing and maintaining safety policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records of safety-related activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a safety engineering role
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
