Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and conscientious individual to join our Supported Housing team as a Housing Support Specialist. This role involves working with young people who have a range of support and housing needs, providing a holistic service to assist with accessing benefits, managing finances, health and wellbeing, maintaining accommodation, and accessing education, employment, or training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to young people, adapting your style of communication to meet their unique needs and goals.
  • Assist with accessing benefits, managing finances, and maintaining accommodation.
  • Support young people in accessing education, employment, or training opportunities.
  • Take an active role in the management and oversight of the buildings, including health and safety checks.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure the provision of high-quality support services.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Knowledge of housing and support services for young people.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable groups.
