Software Engineer - C/C++ - Linux - Real Time

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is partnering with one of Europe's leading defence organisations to recruit a skilled Software Engineer for a contract basis. The initial contract duration is 6 months with potential extensions.

Job Overview

You will be part of a small, multi-disciplinary team working on complex technical projects, utilising a wide range of technologies and engineering disciplines. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and supporting software items used within the Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software items for HWIL simulations, including mathematical models with real-time input/output interfaces and data analysis/visualisation software.
  • Develop software using C, C++, or similar languages, with a strong emphasis on Linux environment experience.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating proactive and self-motivated behaviour.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in integrating hardware and software components.
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded software development and driver-level software development.
  • Understanding of mathematical modelling concepts and their application in software development.
