Linux Software Engineer

RGF Staffing UK Limited is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in C/C++ and Linux development, with a strong understanding of real-time systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement software for Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) simulations.
- Work with a small, multi-skilled team to develop and use closed-loop HWIL simulations.
- Collaborate with engineers to investigate and prove the behaviours and performance of products.
- Develop software to control mathematical models with input/output interfaces in real-time.
- Support the development of software for data analysis and visualisation.
Requirements:
- Strong ability and experience in software development using C, C++, or similar.
- Experience developing within the Linux environment.
- Pro-active and capable of working on their own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Able to work with varied engineering teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of integrating hardware and software.
- Experience with multi-threaded software products.
- Experience of driver level software development.
- Experience using Matlab/Simulink.
- Understanding of real-time computing systems.
- Understanding of mathematical modelling concepts.
