Compliance & Risk Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance & Risk Manager to oversee our firm's operational compliance functions and contribute to the strategy and plans for compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compliance plans and objectives.
  • Evaluate risk levels and communicate findings to the Compliance Board.
  • Oversee policies, systems, and controls related to compliance.
  • Advise the Compliance Board on compliance measures and serve as the primary contact for data protection inquiries.
  • Investigate and recommend actions in response to client complaints.
  • Deliver effective risk and compliance training and conduct audits to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Board and insurers to address claims against the firm.
  • Manage and develop the compliance team.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of compliance experience within a law firm.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels.
  • Experience in influencing strategy and working with senior management to resolve client conflicts.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards to minimize risk.
  • Proficiency in IT, organization, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to balance commercial interests with compliance requirements.
