Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Cygnet Nursery as a Childcare Apprentice.

Cygnet Nursery provides a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years old. Our goal is to help them develop in confidence and self-esteem.

We have extensive indoor and outdoor play areas across four separate rooms catering for different age groups.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting and caring for the children
  2. Guiding the children through our curriculum, encouraging social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development
  3. Observations
  4. Planning and writing up learning journeys
  5. All aspects of personal care
  6. Preparing snacks
  7. Assisting at meal times
  8. First aid training is preferred

Working hours and requirements:

  1. Cygnet Nursery operates between 07:30-18:00, Monday-Friday
  2. 40 working hours per week
  3. Level 2 Early Years Childcare Qualification desired
  4. A good level of experience in a nursery environment
  5. GCSEs A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent (e.g., functional skills)
  6. Must be able to obtain a clear DBS
