**ASSEMBLY TEAM LEADER**
**LEVEL 3- PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE**

**Job Title**: Assembly Team Leader

**Reporting To**: Assembly Manager

**Overall Purpose**

To lead the assembly team on your shift, ensuring that all operational systems and health & safety procedures are adhered to.

Work closely with the Assembly Manager, Production Planning and Material Handler to ensure parts are assembled to the correct quality standard, within standard times and in accordance with the production schedule to meet customer demand.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Maintain oversight of the assembly team on shift, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all team members.
- Use the company computer system “Javelin” to prepare work packs in advance of production and ensure all components are picked and ready for assembly
- Allocate team members to assembly tasks and monitor performance against standard times for each job
- Arrange training to develop the team ensuring sufficient cover for all jobs undertaken on shift taking account of holidays and unplanned absence.
- Monitor individual and team performance and give regular feedback to help drive performance improvement
- Conduct quality checks and maintain quality records to ensure quality standards are followed.
- Ensure all finished goods are accurately scanned onto stock once completed.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and champion 5S activities in the area.
- Focus on all areas of cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain stock accuracy reporting.
- Filing and general administrative duties.

Participate in and actively promote the company’s CIP (continuous improvement program) looking for ways to continually improve the way we work and to reduce waste.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
