Job Title: Royalties Accountant

Y Royalties is seeking a skilled Royalties Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our royalty accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit and upload sales data into Counterpoint royalty and Curve systems for third-party accounting.
  • Assist in preparing royalty accounting statements across the distribution business on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis.
  • Reconcile and clear balance sheet accounts holding royalty-related balances in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and condense substantial royalty data from Recording and Publishing labels and Digital platforms into concise summaries.
  • Prepare journals to process direct royalty income on a by-title basis across the business.
  • Maintain royalties receivable trackers and chase outstanding reports as necessary.
  • Provide data to finance teams to enable them to reconcile balances held on the balance sheet.
  • Maintain the CCY Portal/Website.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience in a similar role or newly qualified.
  • Excel skills.
  • General knowledge of Counterpoint and Curve royalty systems is a bonus.
