We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team at Nantwich Health Centre. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice and providing exceptional patient service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and dealing with patients in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Answering inbound calls and booking appointments using the EMIS system.
  • Dealing with patients' queries and requests over the telephone and at the front desk.
  • Liaising with GPs and clinicians in an organised and competent manner.
  • Liaising with external services, such as hospitals, care homes, pharmacies, and community services.
  • Maintaining and updating computerised medical records, showing excellent attention to detail.
  • Maintaining patient and practice confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
  • Passionate and motivated with a solid work ethic.
  • Good IT skills and experience with computerised systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Minimum 2 years customer service/administration experience.
  • NHS experience desirable.
