Job Summary

Havering Talking Therapies is a leading primary care IAPT service that offers exceptional standards of care and clinical effectiveness to patients. We are seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team for a 6-month period as part of our Wellbeing at Winter Programme.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced PWP who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients. The successful candidate will be required to hit the ground running, offering x3 S2 groups to older adults/LTC patients and holding a small caseload. The role will involve working closely with other members of the team to ensure appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service and develop programmes of care packages.
  • Assess and support people with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Undertake patient-centred interviews to identify areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department's referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.
  • Provide a range of information and support for evidence-based high-volume low-intensity psychological treatments.
  • Engage in and respond to personal development supervision to improve competences and clinical practice.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment, where appropriate.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a PG qualification in Low Intensity CBT and experience in working in primary care/IAPT services. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Low Intensity working models and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

What We Offer

NELFT offers a comprehensive induction programme for new starters, including mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment. We also offer a Higher Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary, with a minimum of £4,108 to a maximum of £5,177.
