Business Development Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at Labcorp. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities for our continued growth within European territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve account portfolio financial goals and relationship building goals
  • Grow market share of existing service lines and optimize new service line launch
  • Identify and build relationships with executive targets and key decision makers in Pharma/Life Sciences accounts
  • Participate in bid defense and/or capabilities meetings, lead client presentations, and sell the business unit's capabilities and differentiation frameworks
  • Collaborate with RWD Products team and participate in RWD Products operational meetings to develop concepts, strategies, and define services
  • Create and manage robust and strategic account plans, including actionable account strategies
  • Use SFDC to manage internal communication and document territory and client information as required
  • Provide comprehensive intelligence on key competitors and participate in proposal scope development as appropriate

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of relevant client-facing experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech sector with direct interaction with mid-level and executive-level decision makers
  • RWD/RWE and outcomes research knowledge and sales experience preferred
  • Comfortable discussing Real-world data, clinical trial, and research concepts with Biopharma customers and physician stakeholders
  • Public health, industry, life sciences background and experience
  • Working knowledge of analytics and modeling
  • Strategic thinker with ability to identify client needs
  • Resourceful networking skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead
  • Executive presence with successful presentation and communication capabilities
  • Ability to travel 50-70%
