Clinical Practice Specialist for Physician Associate Education

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Specialist to join our team at the University of Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and training in clinical practice for Physician Associate students.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging teaching activities that support student learning, including the development of formative and summative assessments.
- Act as a project supervisor for the programme, providing guidance and support to students.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students as a personal tutor, facilitating communication with students and other departments within the university.
- Contribute to curriculum development, including the revision of existing modules and the introduction of new modules and teaching methods.
- Undertake research and scholarly activities, as appropriate.
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a health professional discipline or equivalent experience.
- Current registration with the General Medical Council or other UK health professional regulator, or current UK Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Registration.
- Relevant teaching experience in clinical practice or higher education, with sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the Physician Associate profession's clinical skills for patient assessment.
- Cultural awareness, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with students and academic colleagues.
- A commitment to reflective practice, continual improvement, and equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- An estimated salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
